In 1997 following from research, it was realised that there were gaps in services for Travellers at a local level and that Travellers were not accessing existing services. With this in mind a group of volunteers came together to form Bray Travellers Development Network.
In 2002 the organisation became Bray Travellers Community Development Group and in 2004 we moved to our current offices at 97 Rear Main Street, Bray.
Our doors are open to all Travellers and most of our activities are in-house though we rent out space for specific activities such as football and youth activities.
All of our activities and supports are Traveller specific in nature. BTCDG operates through the belief that Travellers are a distinct group within Irish Society who have their own unique culture and traditions.
Bray Travellers Community Development Group CLG is a community organisation managed by a voluntary Board of Directors comprising of Travellers and members of the community.
